I served in the Viet Nam war, it was unpopular at the time, I went to war because I was ordered to, and like any service man at the time I risked my life and did my job, for our country. After I got home and was out I joined Viet vets against the war. So while I personally disagreedn with the war, I did defend your right to disagree.

That's too abstract for me. I would fight to protect my family and my tribe, whatever I might feel that to be. I don't think anyone should be called on to fight and risk their lives on any other basis. But if you want to look after me, that's OK! And if you think you live in a free society with freedom of speech, I wonder where on earth you are.

Hell yes! Nothing beats being able to 'debate' and not get decapitated for it. It brings out inner clarity and understanding of the world around you.
