My phone fell in a bathroom sink in a tourism center right into the water. Two little girls were horsing around and shoved my phone into the water. It did not work for a couple of days. I had to dry it completely out. I then recharged it. It has been running ever since. My phone was also manufactured by LG.

Yup, been there done that.
Oddly enough, after 3 days, it worked.
The provider won't replace it because it has been water damaged, just don't plug it in, remove the battery, and let it air out for several days before even attempting to turn it on.
Maybe you'll get lucky like I did. All I had to do was purchase a new battery.
And, by the way, my phone was also an LG.

I spilled a jug of water on my cell phone. Took out the battery and dried the phone with hair dryer and I left it open for 2 days. It worked again.

i worked for a company cellular telephone organization the place we use sim enjoying cards. there's a severe risk that the sim card won't artwork.. i recommend severe risk. the main suitable thank you to be certain nevertheless is to stroll in to a shop (whom ur cellular telephone service is) and ask.."my telephone isn't working, i think of it ought to be the sim card, do you have dummy telephone so i can locate out?" We had costumers are available and ask us that query each and all the time, and our shop could do it because of the fact all of it approximately customer help. yet another selection is, ask a chum who has a cellular telephone with a sim card. if its Nextel it truly is going to artwork on strengthen cellular and vise versa. If its t cellular, i heard it ought to with Att&t on condition that they have the comparable community. provide it try..
