I have small little cuts on the corners of my mouth. I'm not for sure if they came from chapped lips or if I actually cut myself with something. I put neosporin on the corners of my mouth but it doesn't seem to be helping much. Not to mention the cuts reopen when I eat. What can I do to help them heal? Thanks.

if the cuts are developed from opening your mouth too wide, you need to restrain from doing that for a while. Along with that, drinking fluids to hydrate your body is key if your lips are dry. I would also recommend using a topical lip-balm such as blistex or vaseline lip jelly, to maintain moisture and to begin the healing process

Try some anitseptic cream like Dettol or Savalon, if you have it, or something similar. Put it on a few times a day, especially at night, so it has time to work. You could also try pricking open a vitamin E capsule and apply it to your lips and surrounding area at night as this will give plenty of moisture and healing. Put the antiseptic cream on first, then wait about 10 minutes and apply the vitamin E. During the day apply lip balm or Smith's Rosebud Salve.

When my lips get really chapped the same happens to me. I use Bert's Bees lip balm, but they have it in stick form as well. It's made with menthol to cool, and beeswax and almond oil to condition. Available at Walgreens and farmer's markets. Or for something cheaper, Carmex always does the trick, just tastes kinda funky.

I used to get these years ago. increase your B vitamin intake by taking a B vitamin supplement or a multivitiamin with lots of B vitamins. I cannot be for sure which B vitiamin as this was a while ago, but I am thinking B12.
