Everything is made of atoms. There is your atomic theory. Not that that is out of the way, lets get down to the facts. Man has discovered several nutrients that our bodies need. Then they have taken those nutrients and established minimum dosages for us. The truth is that all the nutrients, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, etc that are in food are largely, as yet, undiscovered. In a vitamin C capsule you get one type of vitamin C, but there are several kinds of vitamin C. Vitamin C does not ever appear in any food, all alone, by itself. It is surrounded by not only bio-flavinoids, but by synergistic nutrients that are in the correct ratios for our bodies. Vitamin C from whole food sources are mega superior to ascorbic acid in a bottle. Man may be able to chemically mimic one of the vitamin C's, but he fails miserably in duplicating the nutrient support cast for the vitamin and fails miserably in even understanding it all. Profit drives the vitamin industry.
