You have highlighted the one factor that could lead to a planetary government of some kind. Namely globalisation of the economy and the cultural changes that go with it. As you point out, the countries of the world are increasingly interdependent. Some form of economic union is one likely outcome of the processes currently underway. Perhaps such an economic union will be a precursor for political union, if our society does not first destroy itself with war and ecological disaster.

Unfortunately that is the nplan of the New World Order, and if you study what that means for you, you will find that it is totally undesirable.
We already have too much power in the hands of too few.
What is needed is a move in the opposite direction, where efeectiveky there is no government at all other than very local government, based on populations of about 500 families, or in very remote regions, based on geographically different areas, known as bio-regions.

As the world becomes "closer", people will notice even more what others have and don't have: which is the key to human perceptions of "needs" and "wants". So as long as greed is part of human nature, no, there is not a chance for one government, since the so-called elite would have to give up something, possibly too much, in order to comply with any kind of fair one-government legislation.
Look around....it's simply not in the cards.

I do not see the world getting closer - but factions pulling us further apart.
I personally do not like the idea of one world government as I could not trust that they would be able to do what is right for the diverse regions of the world.
For example - look at the tyrrany of the IMF - how it makes regions impoverished in order to keep the wealth in western countries.

Yes, that is possible I think and it will certainly put some restraint on the weapons spending. However it has to be a loose confederation type as we have so many different people and cultures in the world. Habits are different.

A one-world government would be a great idea, but not while THIS secret and evil group has been in control of everything for far too long!...

The Bible has the only solution. Repent, fast, and pray for the country so that God will hear from Heaven and HEAL OUR LAND.
Bush WANTS us to RIOT so that he can institute martial law using foreign troops already on U.S. soil. Then, THESE secret plans will be implemented!...

I was thinking the same a week ago but i th\ibk it is impossible because people have differences, day by day more and more governments are being created rather than one whole one.
one government would face alot of problems and it is for sure that we would never see one government.
