what was considersd "full age" in 1845 ? this is entered on a marraige certificate for my ggg grandparents under the heading of age..thanks

i think it means they have reached puberty, there were no fixed age limits in the 1800's ... probably around 13 when they could work outside the home as a servant or apprentice or ranch/farm hand

i think it was 15 or 16 then it got raised to 16 at the turn of the last century
not 100% sure though

I would have thought whatever the leagle age was to marry at that time probebly 18.
