I have both. 2 Gibsons and an Ibenez. The guy that said Ibenez is a fender ripoff doesn't know what he's talking about. Ibenez doesn't make guitars for country music it makes guitars for metal, and hard rock. Fast fingerboards and screaming pickups. Both of which are attributes that are lacking in country music. The Ibenez Wizard neck is one of the fastest on the market, it fells as if nothing is in your hand, unlike a Fender it feels like a log, the deep C shape of the Fender neck is too large for most and slow you down. Ibenez competes with Jackson for the metal and shred market, which these too groups don't even look at Fender for. Fender is for the slopy styles of music where crisp clean tones that come from a Gibson, Ibenez or Jackson.

yeah listen to DB, Ibanez is just as good as Gibson. I have converted quite a few Gibson snobs and fender snobs by letting them play my Ibanez Jem77FP. Frankly, I could almost buy two Jems for the price of one top of the line Gibson - actually I would get a Jem and JS model .. lol.
I wish people could be a little more open-minded - your missing out by not trying all the flavors dude.

I have a Gibson Les Paul Smartood guitar. It friggin rocks. Ibanez guitars aren't as good as Gibsons. They are a cheap knockoff of Fenders. Stick with Gibson or Fender and you will do ok.
