The study states the women age faster than men because of a slowing of collagen production. I've read that Vitamin C is vital in collagen formation. So wouldn't upping your intake of C be the answer?

To Ryan-that's exactly what I was thinking-hormones definitely contribute.

Actually it's hormonal.
Once a woman hits menopause the changes in her body reek havoc on all of the cells.

Vitamin C is an essential vitamin for hormone production/regulation. I'm sure it would help, but genetics play a greater role.

It probably will, but not too the extent that it'll make a lot of difference. Women age faster than men. I will take bone demineralization as an example for that. Women are more prone to osteoporosis than male because their bones tend to be more brittle as they age. Also, lack of other hormones contribute to aging.

probably... or you could just go out and get collagen put in =)
but yeah, for those of us who dont have the money or its against your morals/religion, probably a higher intake of vitamin c would help. Just keep healthy, drink lots of water, keep fit and always get enough sleep.
