Manmohan Singh's government is in no way inferior to the previous governments. BJP governments in the past looked like a very high profile government, because of the Vajpayee's stature and the assiduous propaganda that they were indulging in.The weakness of the BJP is coming to the fore after their exit from the government. Manmohan Singh is an honest person, besides being an accomplished economist. Since when you had an expert heading the government. No government babu can hope to push through a file requiring a decision on an important economic issue. Indira Gandhi's has openly acknowledged her ignorance of economic and financial issues. The problem is we go by high sounding rhetoric to just the performance of our governments. I do not want to underrate the performance of the present government.

I think it is a good question which should be pondered over by every educated indian in the interest of his country and society. Sri Manmohan Singh has in my opinion been able to contain inflation which means both agricultural and industrial production has been kept up. Because of improvement in business and trade activities (GDP), specially real estate and construction, employment at every level has improved, not only in soft ware. On the negative side he has been unable to control terrorism because of his weak policies and corruption at very level has increased which is holding back our progress. The only proof of his being an economist is his decision to join hands with USA in the areas of energy generation by which both countries will gain and our nuclear power program will be more meaningful. Mr. Bajpeyee's idea of building roads was a brilliant idea on the lines what USA did in 1930s, which has been slowed down by Mr. Singh and his thrust on expensive irrigation projects without proper mechanisms of cost control has given rise to scope of corruption in hundreds of crores. Not increasing the purchase price of farm products is leading to farmers sucide but he is busy pleasing the bureaucrats thru the 6th pay commission.
So let there be an honest and informed appraisal.

This has been the worst congress ever, in my 47 years of living on this Earth,in America, as a white man in Texas!!Who would have ever believed after 2 world wars and countless conflicts,of all the blood spilled to protect our freedoms,a simpleton from Texas and a worthless bunch of sellouts,could (almost)destroy it all!!HOW DO THEY SLEEP?????HOW DO THEY LOOK IN THE MIRROR,AND NOT SEE A TRAITOR LOOKING BACK AT THEMSELVES???History will judge them harshly-BUT I HOPE GOD JUDGES THEM THE HARSHEST!!!

Why not?. No political party is capable of controlling inflation. There is nothing to celebrate as a nation. We have only vande mataram and aya ram, gaya ram to celebrate. Happy ram ram.
