I prepared a bubble bath tonight and my husband seemed distant from me..I notced he was paying more attnetion to the cat who was laying nearby than me, he sprayed me with shaving cream, and massaged my shoulders, but when I laid back on him to relax he just left his arms and hands down to the side in the water, he did not hold me close or put his arms around me....i asked him what was wrong and he said nonthing he was fine, but becauase i did not beleive that (actions speak louder than words I asked again), he said he was flirting with me by spraying me but seemed to ingore my notice of his arms to the side......does it seem like something is wrong or is he being distant and just doesn't want to admitt it, or am I over reacting and over anaylsing? He got upsest about this and is now down stairs playing his football game, seems like sulking to me and if nonthing was truthfully wrong why would he just run out like that and go downstairs over such a simple conversation?

Oy, girl, if I had a partner that analyzed every twitch and every breath like that, I'd be seeking refuge with the football game too!

Well from this point of view, your question does sound silly and you do seem to worry about small, trivial things. BUT...only you know your husband and your the person who has been with him and know him the best...so you would notice little mood changes.
Your senses have alerted you to something and you shouldn't let that go. I've been with my bf for over three years and he can sense any mood change in me (even the smallest) and vice versa.
You've tried talking to him and he obviously doesn't want to talk about what's bothering him.
I have to warn you that it sound slike soemthing is up with him...his actions towards you are strange...he massages you but won't enact in intimacy with you? Sounds to me that he feels wrong about something. He's trying to make himself feel better by making you feel good (the massage) but he feels that he can't show you intimacy for some reason.
It's only you that knows him...so give it some time and see if a pattern pops up or if it was just a bad day.
