Henry was billed as the "World's Strongest Man" after he qualified for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics Weightlifting Competition, where he finished tenth in the super heavyweight class. After the WWF sponsored Henry in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he was signed to a ten-year contract, an anomaly in pro wrestling.

He won a competition where the title was "the worlds strongest man" and held a world record in weight lifting that has since been shattered. The WWE will take a title and a gimmick and run it into the ground (*see Golddust).

I actually remember seeing him winning a Silver Medal in the 1996 Olympics, before he became a wrestler. He is legit.

Logically, you can always find at least one other person in the whole wide world that is stronger than he is. When you do find that person, there is another person stronger than he, and so on, and so on.

He was at one time. The title changes quite a bit, but usually sticks to strongmen after they win it.
