Even with hindsight we can tell while Rumsfeld was involved it would fail.

Most certainly, even the fact that the UN and international community were so against it. The old war-hungry crows should never have been left to a task as huge as running a world power, they were too eager to flex their muscles, settle old scores and make money in the process.
There was never going to be a different end-scenario other than what we are now seeing.

Because the war in Iraq was based on deception, the chances to succeed was low. International community raised flags from the beginning but neocons managed to put American public to sleep for a while.

No we could of made it work and still can .
Its like rushing a machine gun nest you keep at it and while they reload you kill them .
We need to bulldoze the entire country and any left standing about should be sshot and killed .Submit or die .Unless we are willing to do that we should pull out and go home .
War is hell and involves lots of deaths .

No, and it's not doomed now. I know of about twelve million Iraqis who believed in the "project" enough to vote. And I know of a certain deposed dictator who is standing trial, not to mention Al Qaida's number 2 being captured, and all the soldiers who BELIEVE in what we're doing. Oh yes, soldiers IN IRAQ.
Therefore, no, I disagree with you whole-heartedly.
Does this mean I'm "for" the war? No. But I'm not "against" it either. I believe in our soldiers. Your question is discouraging to them.

Oh, and don't forget that most of the countries in the UN who were against the war were in Hussein's pocket. Food for Oil anyone?
