Repetative and Boring Way for me works, but if its for your daughter, you might want to try something like putting them int song and singing a long with her.

Or you could try question cards with the answers on the back, make them yourself and get your daughter to help, this will help her remember!!

I have to say that I wouldn't try to find a way of remembering the times tables. These need to be recalled just like speaking a language - that is without any conscious thought. It is just practise, practise and more practise of reciting them. It sinks in just like I am sure your children recite nursery rhymes.

Back in year 6 and 7, the teacher made us say it all of by heart in 1 week. I just kept practicising, one at a time (like 1x7, 2x7 etc.). Work on one at a time, and when you get it, move on to the next. A little trick, 7x2=14, 8x2=16, just add 2 more. 9x2=18,10x2=20 :)

Say each one out loud over a week at least 6 times for each table. Do this for weeks and weeks and weeks.
It must be said OUT LOUD.
This way she will remember them for the rest of her life.

PRACTICE makes perfect! I always remember my 9's by my fingers! If you don't know that trick hmm... dunno.
Ain't there a game OMG i can't remember the name but it's like red and has white squares and you can like push it down and it'll show the answer or something like that?... Then you can buy her the cards! :) That works... make a game out of it... maybe you can tell her to study them for a bit... play with her... if she gets so many right give her something for it? ... That'll definately make her work harder at remembering! :)

Just learn them I suppose..
Ive never really felt the need to learn them, other than Primary School...

In adult life there isnt much need to recite them is there - although to be fair there isnt much need for a lot of the things you learn. Although it's nice to know a lot..

I found just hard work and practice! You could try searching for or making up games for her to play which might help too.
