A baby is formed from the union of the sperm cell (male) and egg cell (female) anywhere in the reproductive system of the female. That's what we call fertilization. Fertilization takes place usually in the tubes connecting the ovary and uterus what we call your fallopian tube. After fertilization, it would start its journey towards the uterus. Upon arriving the uterus, it will lodge on the uterine wall and will stay and develop there till an average of 9 calendar months. After 9 months, the uterine muscles will push the baby out of the uterus via the vaginal canal/vagina and there you are!
