it all depends on how long it has been on your carpet. try spraying a little( one squirt, not 20) water on the yolk stain, let it sit for a couple minutes, and then take a soft scrub brush and scrub it out that way. if that doesn't work, rug doctors rule. you can rent one pretty much anywhere for about 20 dollars, give or take a few dollars.

The main problem with egg yolk is that it gets really hard. That might be something that you need to steam clean to get out.

try some ivory wash up liquid..and use the frying pan next time
