How does the undertaker do that thing where the light cut's off and he appears in the ring.

Like the others, I would imagine that he's hiding under the ring and comes out when the lights go out, quickly jumps in the ring, and gets into position just before the lights come back on. It's a classic psychological / illusionist trick: get the crowd distracted by something else, and then when they refocus back on the action, they think somebody reappeared, disappeared, etc.
I doubt they use the trap door anymore, unless they actually have somebody come through the ring (they did this in the past to have him drag people under the ring). That staph infection that Davey Boy Smith got from hitting the trap door probably made people think twice after that.
I've always wondered if some of these arenas actually have trap doors in the floor that allow wrestlers to access the ring secretly. For example, I can't imagine that guys like The Little Bastard could hide under the ring for an entire show, and then come out at the main event and attack somebody. I guess you couldn't be claustrophobic. I also went to one of the Buried Alive matches, and I would imagine they would need the same setup there too.

He is hiding under the ring and uses a trap door.
I remember going to a WCW event when the Ultimate Warrior did the same thing. But poor old Davy Boy Smith "British Bulldog" got powerslamed on to the trapdoor and he hit his back on the door and badly injured his back. Thus causing him to be unable to wrestle to his full capacity.
He was then fired for being injured by Eric Bishoff.

a trick like this would usually be done w/ a trap door...in this case I'm guessing he's either hiding under the ring an just whips out from under the ring and through the ropes or he drops down w/ a wire...you might be able to google some answers ..

When the light is turned off,he just runs to the ring,wearing a night vision goggles or he could just be hiding under the ring.
