You would also like Maurice Ravel's piano concerto, Bolero, and Pavane pour une Infante defunte. Ravel has a little jazz influence, which helps give him that "modern" sound. If you want to go a little farther out, you might even like Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite.

I enjoy The Planets and all of the music I mentioned above, so there's a good chance you will like it, too.

Listen to "Peter and the Wolf", "The Moldau" or "Pictures at an Exhibition", while reading about them in Wikipedia. They convey a strong pictorial view through classic music.
If you want to explore more "contemporary" music, try "Philip Glass", "Pink Floyd" and "The Allan Parson's Project".
