They are real. The WWE and other promotions only use those steel folded chairs. Those chairs are specially design, when a wrestler got knocked in the head with one of those,it doesn't really hurt.Don't be stupid enough to try it.When Triple H is using his sledgehammer,he normally covers the hammer's head with his hand. The hammer that he use in Unforgiven was specially design,it will break on light impact and the hammer head is actually plastic but they painted it and made it look like metal.

Some of them are. Some promotions use fake barbed wire in hardcore matches while others use the real thing. Triple H often uses a sledgehammer as a weapon, covering one end with his hand; one time, he injured the Undertaker with a shot. Acoustic guitars have also been used as weapons, most notably by Jeff Jarrett and the Honky Tonk Man. In a match with HTM at Wrestlemania III, Jake Roberts suffered two ruptured discs in his neck after a guitar shot. WWE started using breakaway guitars after this incident.

I don't think so. I have a steel folding chair and I would kill someone if I wrapped it around their skull. There is obviously some contact, but I think the "punches" are pulled and the hittie does a good acting job by taking a dive.

the shots are real but the weapons are probably made of plastic, or foam.
