My last period was aug 22, and i had intercourse sep 13-17. I have been having killer headaches and constantly too hot. I went to the dr a few days ago to take a blood test and they said it was too early to tell and sent me home. They said it has to be about four weeks from the time i had sex. Does this sound right?

i know from experience with my wife....that the blood test show up if your pregnant or not a week as little as a week after your late...you could take a home test but if your dont have enough of the hormone to indicate that you are pregnant its a waste of time cause you could be but shows up that your not.....no reason why it wouldn't show up since you almost almost three weeks late...but i mean wait a while longer if you dont want to go through the trouble of paying for one of the home test they can be expensive....another thing if you go to your gynecologist if he does a hand exam he should be able to feel if your pregnant or not...reason i know is because my wife went in for a pap exam and well found out she was pregnant...he then sent her for a blood test cause they need paper..but anyways if you dont want to wait for the next blood test you can always take a home test....but why not wait your already late whats a few more days going to do you know....your either pregnant or not taking a home test or going for a sooner blood test isn't going to change anything...if that makes any sense

There are some new tests that can tell before you miss your next period, but as a rule, you have to be pregnant a good 3 to 4 weeks for most of the standard tests to work.
And 4 days of intercourse? Woo hoo!

You may in fact be pregnant
Usually a womans fertile the 13th, 14th, 15 th day, and all the way to day 16 day after her last period

recently i went an entire month without a period. i took 2 pregnancy tests and they were both negative. when i went to the doctor she said it was most likely stress. my cycle has been normal ever since that month it was weird. if you're stressed out it could just be that.

get a home prgo test.. they know up to a week after
