I am uncircumsized and so is my 2 year old son. I just want to know at what age should his foreskin be able to be retracted over the glans?

Congratulations on leaving your son intact like 80% of the world.

ONLY its owner should ever try to retract a foreskin. Don't discourage your child from manipulating his skin. As toddlers start exploring their bodies, they first start pulling on the skin, away from the body. Later they will realize the skin can roll back, and they will enjoy rolling it back, naturally stopping short of doing any damage.

The foreskin needs NO special attention. Do nothing to the foreskin that you wouldn't do to your eyelids.

About 2% of intact men have normal penile skin that does not reatract. If such a man wants for some reason to become retractile, a doctor can help with a regimen of stretching exercises and steroidal ointment. This is usually effective within 3 months. Even if surgery is called for to make the skin retractable, circumcision - with its attendent loss of 50% of the sensual nerve endings - is not called for. Instead, a procedure called a dorsal slit can loosen the skin tube while costing him none of his pleasure-receptive capacity.

The right age for the skin to retract is when he wants it to.

At birth, the foreskin is adhered to the glans (head). During the first few years of life it will gradually lose the adhesion and should retract easily. Under no circumstances should you try to force the foreskin back though as that can result in damage to the foreskin, the glans or both. This adhesion is a natural protection for the head of the penis and it does not result in there being dirt or smegma accumulating under the foreskin in children. Thus cleaning under the foreskin is not required as long as the genital area itself is kept very clean overall.
As he gets older and the adhesion lets go, then the skin will retract a little more each time. And he should know to retract only as far as it goes easily to clean or when peeing. By late childhood, he should be able to retract fully though some boys cannot until they are well into their teens. Only if his foreskin is not fully retratable due to adhesions by 15 or so shoudl you seek help for this.
Of course as is mentioned in many questions, some boys have tight foreskin which becomes more of a problem as they hit puberty. Howevert this is easily remedied with some regular stretching exercises that loosen up the tight foreskin and allow it to retract easily.

Most boys can pull there foreskin back from about the age of 3 yrs old, but some boys are unable to pull there foreskin back until they reach puberty which depends on the boy and his development and rate etc.

If there is ever a problem with a male child that they can not pee etc because of the foreskin then you would have to seek medical help as this could be a medical problem. If you have any concerns etc at your child's age, its always to get them checked by a local health worker, doctor etc.

Most foreskins are retractable by age 3; however, some guys may not have a retractable foreskin till they're into puberty. He's young and so it may/may not retract yet. Don't force it back as that could make things worse. See link for more info.

An uncircumcised male may not be able to retract his foreskin until puberty. However, if you insist upon your son remaining uncircumcised and his foreskin will not retract by the time he is around 6 years old, take him to the doctor to have the adhesions broken down to release the foreskin so that it will retract completely, to expose the sulcus (groove) It is of course far better to be circumcised and I suggest that you go ahead and have your son done without delay. Circumcision is a gift from which he (and his future female partners) will benefit throughout his adult life. Why not have yourself circumcised at the same time - you'll never regret it!

Should be able to do it at any age. If he can't pull it back, you might want to get him to the doctor sooner rather than later, when it might be more of a problem as he and it grows.
