My mom says that regular vinegar can whiten your whites and get stains outta your bath tub. lol. I use it all the time and it really doesn work and it doesn't eat through things like bleach sometimes does. You might also want to check how clean your water is that you're washing with.

If it isnt silk or rayon, you can boil it for an hour in baking soda and salt. My Mom used to do this and the cotton stuff would get nice and white. This doesnt remove stains, though, just the yellowing. If it is stained, treat those first before boiling.

If bleaching it still leaves a yellow tinge, use some cheap white vinegar, a pint or so, in the wash.

The performance of SA-8 detergent is unmatched.
This is an AMWAY product, normally sold directly only by Amway Distributors.
They also have a Pre-Wash, which can help too!

Use bleach diluted in water and keep it in there until it turns white. Also to dry, put it out in the sun that also "bleaches" cloth.
