He could. Have you ever heard a Mom threaten with "I gave you life, I can take it away too."
Scarey!

Absolutely. If God created the world, she would have also had to create time. Time is absolutely finite. Thus, she would know that it would come to an end...but of course she could make another one or billions as she likes.

Of course, we could all be God's self-exploration...in order to be omniscient, a god would need to have experienced every possiblilty. Thus, would have to live every possible life. Thus, we would exist in a theoretical time/space simply as God experiencing material form in all of it's possible aspects.

Sorry...I just like throwing that in to keep people on their toes :D

Also, destruction is not evil...it is a neccesary part of life and the continuation of the planet. Even the destruction of the universe is not, per se, an evil act. Sucks for us, but not evil. It would make room for a new universe is all.

Like Mr Dave said...the Bible says there will be a new heaven and a new earth. That means the destruction of the old to make way for the new!

Good question. By "the world" the answer is yes.
If you mean the 'Earth", you may look to the book of revelation, were It is stated that "God created a new Earth" after the tribulation.
In any event, "the world" is what we live In.
The "Earth" is what we live "on".

I'm not a biblical scholar, but I can tell you this....
We are all the result of God's Creation...
and everything we can see, feel, and touch is a result.

God would never "end the world", the Earth as we know It.

It would make no sense, as "He delights in His Creations".

The "world" as we know It will someday end...
But not the Earth, and those who inhabit It.

The righteous will live forever..... in the original paradise
that God created.

End it as we know it now? yes. After all he made it for a reason. Once that reason is fulfilled, things will change. As for those who think there is no God, then the next ice age will change the shape and quantity of life on the planet so at some point man kind is going to have a massive struggle to survive. I doubt he will make mortality last forever.

If God created the world, why would he give Man the opportunity and the means to end it?

It's not an end the way you usually think of in terms of nothingness. It's a promise of an end to the suffering for believers. All the war, disease, death and hate that exists now will be abolished and we will have eternal life that is unlike the physical life we know now.

God would end the world as we know it. He's going to fix it. He's going to finally make it the way he intended it to be. The way it was in the beginning before sin messed it all up.

Yes. He is going to end this world as we know it. Then there will be a new one.

Certainly. All great authors want their stories to come to a happy ending. That means there has to be an ending.

One day the world will end. People will either go to heaven or hell. Read Revalations in the Holy Bible.
