The American Lung Association accepts donations of cars that are towable. They do not have to run, however all 4 tires must inflate and no major parts can be missing.

The Kidney Foundation accepts cars that run.

There are many other charities that accept cars - plus you get to write them off your taxes, and you don't have to pay shipping to get them to Africa.

I've donated 2 cars so far - a Cavalier with 200,000 miles on it, and a Corsica with 186,000 miles.

Practically, you cannot do much with land rover in Africa anyway, so you should
1) sell it yourself and give to charities/missionaries in Africa. 2) do car donation.
You can get tax deduction and organisations liek Charity Motors allows to also dictate which charities to give the proceeds to.
Moeny can be stretched better than cars and benefit more unfortunate people.

Well its very nice to give then to want or to receive. But if you two are thinking about doing and your not struggling on money then do it for sure. If i had a car or something that i could just give away i would. But anyway thats my thought on that. Good luck to you both,

I have a car we hardly drive, I would love to see it gone. I have given cars away before.I would do it again, no hesitation. But, I would be more willing to help a needy family here in my town. Just my preference though.

That's all well and good, but they would get more use out of the money he would pay to ship it and the value of the vehicle.
