I agree with what Gary H said.

I will also caution you not to have your hopes up too high. The H1-B quota for the current fiscal year is already filled, and there is already a line for the next fiscal year, which starts in April 2007. Unless your design is extraordinary, the chance of any company who is willing to invest the time and resources on hiring someone from abroad is very slim.

My suggestions:
Try applying for Ethan Allen in Philippines, Kuwait, Canada etc. Once you have your foot in the door, you can try for internal transfer in the future.

Look for other competitors of Ethan Allen. Laura Ashley, Ikea etc. to enhance your CV.

Canada, some European countries has less restrictive immigration rules as compared to the U.S.

I suggest that you make your plan to reach your goal in multiple steps.

Best wishes.

Rewrite your CV or send the one you have if suitable, enclose some of your Design Project work as a sample, make sure your CV is complete...references, diplomas, certificates, Photo etc. Search in Internet for companies you would like to work for, and send your dossier to each one, together with an informative introduction letter, stating your goals and the date you could commence work. Don't forget all your contact details and even offer to come over for an interview.
If they are interested in you the company will sort all your visa problems out..It can only open doors!!!!

Good Luck !!!!!
