I asked the Dr to not give mom Iv promethazine and fentynal via a picc line. She was having seizure type actions when they administered these meds together. She wa paralized on the left side and stayed in the hospital for a month for a urinary infection. We went to the dr. for a stomach ache. This thing turned into a nightmare and mom can't accept what has happened, to paralize her left side, without an explanation. The Dr. Yelled at me in my mothers room. Is this a violation of her rights as a patient?

Has the paralysis resolved? Still going on? What made you ask the doctor NOT to give her these drugs? What CAUSED the seizure? How familiar are you with your Mom's overall health conditions/status? These are all questions that need to be answered BEFORE your question can be answered appropriately. In addition, why did your Mom have a PICC line, anyway?More info is definitely needed. Insofar as the "how dare you question the MD answer" - Ignore that!

Yelling isn't very professional, but on the other hand, an interferring realtive can be a pain in the bum while the doctor does his work.

There is not enough information given here to make a proper assessment, but you might look into the hospital's complaint procedure if you are not happy with your mother's treatment.

This question can't really be answered from the facts given above. Diagnosis, Intent to treat, and any treatment protocol needs to be defined before any assessment can be made. A yelling MD just shows poor bed side manner

What medical background do you have to question a medical professional ! Sounds to me like you are questioning you're mothers physician on his competency,in which case he has every right to defend himself ! Mind you're own affairs, you're mother is capable of minding hers. And if she fells mistreated by her Physician then she has ever right to seek a second opinion !
