if i take up a job in graphic designing , will that experience be useful if my primary goal was to become a web designer ?

Concentrate on Photoshop + Imageready, work for screen rather than print jobs. Spend some time learning xhtml, xml, javascript, & CSS. Parallely learn Dreamweaver + fireworks + Flash Animation with atleast basic Actionscripting. At the end u cud be a good Graphic designer *** web designer.
