I love my CG clean liquid concealer it goes on thin and dosent cake, but the dewy look celebe's have if from shimmer, get the last dregs of concealer from your bottle and crunch up a bit of skin tone eyeshadow and mix well. Then you can very lightly tap it on with a makeup sponge and you will be dewy in no time. But make sure to only put it on cheekbones, forehead and nose beacuse if you put it all over you look like you fell into a vat of eyeshadow! trust me this stuff is not a sub for regular concealer!

Try an opaque, slightly dry, golden toned concealer applied lightly with a sponge or your fingertips under powder for a fresh glowing look. There is of course bad makeup, but a good vs. bad makeup job has as much to do with technique as with product.

Do yourself a favor and pop over to amazon.com or half.com and buy yourself a copy of "Making Faces" by Kevyn Aucoin. He's THE personal makeup artist to many of the stars, he's brilliant, and his makeup techniques are explained simply with easy to understand illustrations. The photos are breathtaking, as he shows different stars in different looks, and it's often hard to guess who you're looking at.

Makeup was a total mystery to me until I bought this book, I always looked like a painted doll when I wore it. I sat down and read the book over, sat down with my makeup the next day, and acheived a natural look for the first time ever! If this man can't teach you "dewy" - along with "exotic", "alluring", "dead sexy", "natural", and myriad other looks - no one can! Please just buy the book, you won't be sorry. If you use his tips, it will be the best investment you'll ever make in your looks!

its not so much as the brand.. but the colors you're choosing. I use a mix of different brands.. maybellene, um.. some stuff at hair supplies stores.. --to keep my powder from looking dry and caked on, I use a make up brush and fluff it around a light pink/peach/salmon colored blush and brush it lightly on my forehead, nose, cheeks and jaws. It always gives my face a pretty glow, and a nice, natural looking shine.

I use Molton Brown which I order from the uk but it is soooo good. Gives you an all over creamy/dewy look and is so light and also you only use the tiniest bit to cover your face.

Concealers don't do that. You need a shimmer stick. That gives the "dewy" look. I have bare escentuals clear radiance and that REALLY does it.
