I know WHAT to expect about the past, which renders it an interesting place to visit, (Visit Ford's theatre and stop Booth, or have the chance to stop Oswald a hundred years later in Dallas...?)

Whereas the future would be unknown and the possibility exists I might NOT like what I see... Could be downright scary...

But the future it is for me due to the fact I would HAVE to come around again to the very point I had visited in the past, (right?)
Visiting that same point in the future and being properly prepared, one could reap a FORTUNE in a variety of fields, gambling, investments, politics...,

I think I saw it actually occur as one of the Back to the Future serials...

Both present problems that could be destructive to the entire fabric of time and space. Going back in time, changing something you did/wished you'd done could cause a chain of events that would destroy who you are. Tiny little things could have reprocussions in everything you change and most would be impossible to detect or deter. As for the future, it's not happened yet but theoretically, if you find out that driving down a certain road one day is how you die and you change that it may cause a chain of events that may lead to many problems. The past is what made us who we are, the future is something we can do something about. Be a good person, be happy and enjoy the short time we have on this earth. Or go back in time and punch that asshole that stole your man/woman and go forward to see what stocks make it huge and buy microsoft :P

Interesting question. If it's only for 24 hours, I'd go into the future by 24 hours 'coz nothing great happened in the last 24 hours...

I would rather go into the future, because you never know what type of chain reaction would occur if you changed something in time. It is better to learn from your mistakes and move on. We are constantly progressing into the future, anyway. The time when you finish reading this paragraph is the future of the time you started reading it.

If you go into the future and you see something negative in your life, you could come back severely depressed. If you go into the past you risk altering the present. I'd rather keep my booty in the present and have a magic power for a day instead.

I would go into the future so I can find the cure for all diseases! The only reason I would go back in time would be to see and be with my grandma Ive never met.

Since I've lost a lot of loved ones, I think I'd like to go back in time to when my parents were quite young, just to observe what they wore, how they spoke. Then I'd speed ahead to again see my daughter when she was a baby, and really adorable!

If I could make a change--I would go back in time and not marry my first husband.

I wouldn't want to see my future, I would rather be surprised.
