Ive been on the depo shot for almost 6 months now. I get the shot every 3 months on time. This is also my first time using birth control. About 3 weeks ago, me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex. Yea its stupid, i know. He pulled out right as he started to get off. It got on me a bit, but im not sure if It also got inside me. Right after this happened i took a shower and "washed up" to be safe and make sure I got it out and off of me. In not sure is this worked. But i have no symptoms of being pregnate except being overly tired & lower stomach pains. Mabie im just paranoid. I know what to do if i am pregnate, I just cant sleep because i cant stop thinking about it.

According to your info, you either just got another shot or are due for one. If you're due for one, have the doc test first. Otherwise, you can always take a home test.

And yes, it's still possible. I had a friend that got pregnant while on Depo...it was like the second or third month after she got the shot.

Hell, even sterilization isn't guaranteed. I met a man once who had 3 grown or nearly grown children. They'd been surprised a little over a year later with a 4th baby. Both he and his wife had been sterilized!!!!! Just goes to show you that sometimes, our plans aren't really ours.

By the way, just so you know, washing yourself has no affect on whether you'll get pregnant. Pre-ejaculant has semen in it, too.

One thing worries me...you said that if you are pregnant, you know what to do...I hope you don't mean abortion. If you do, keep in mind someone is out there hoping you give them the chance to be parents and many are willing to pay for your medical expenses and help with living expenses to make their dreams come true.

If you're ready to be a mother, congratulations!

I wouldn't say impossible as the first poster did because NO birth control is 100% effective BUT the odds of you getting pregnant on the shot and with him pulling out and it being just the 1 time the odds are so small I would not worry

Yes, it's stupid -- but it was more stupid of him. (Guys don't get pregnant; they are more to blame if their lover does.) Have him buy one of the pregnancy test kits available at most drug stores and use it to find out for sure -- you'll be easier in your mind knowing if you are rather than worrying if you might be.

Lots of things can cause lower stomach pains (which aren't likely in the first couple of months of pregnancy -- this is just a false alarm). And lots of things can cause being overly tired (including being seriously worried!) The immediate-action precautions you took were sound. You probably aren't pregnant -- but you should still check to make sure. "Unprotected" sex does feel better, but not enough to make up for the worry it's causing you.

A friend of mine got pregant on the depo shot. ( dont freak out) Thats why its good to double up on protection, even if ur on the shot you should still use condoms. Even if he gets off on your upper leg you can still get pregant even if you tried washing it off.
You shld go and see your doctor. Good luck

I don't think that you could be pregnate but being pregnant is always a possibility!

Next time, find a guy who's been "clipped": most may be married--but they're far safer.
