The film initiates with two small-time thieves, Honey Bunny and Pumpkin, who spontaneously decide to hold up a restaurant. The film then shifts to the story of Jules and Vincent, who hit men for the well known and feared Marsellus Wallace, who is caught up in a deal gone wrong with struggling boxer Butch Coolidge.
Pumpkin and Honey Bunny are two thieves who, while dining at a coffee shop, decide that the best thing to do is to rob it. Vincent and Jules, two hit men working for mob kingpin Marcellus Wallace, are sent to retrieve a very special and very mysterious briefcase for their boss. Vincent later must also show Mrs. Wallace a good time while her husband is out. Butch Coolidge is an aging prizefighter who is being paid to "take a dive", but instead, accidentally kills him opponent, and tries to flee town, but not before getting his dead father's lucky golden watch. These four seemingly unrelated stories are interwoven together in a non-linear fashion.

As opposed to a run-down of the plot, I'm going to suggest the deeper meaning of the movie.
Pulp Fiction is ultimately about sin. All of the character's in some way or another revolve around the character of Marsellus Wallace. Marsellus sends his hit men to retrieve a briefcase with a mystery item in it. Marsellus makes a deal with a boxer to throw his match. Marsellus has one of his men watch his wife for the evening. It has been suggested that the mystery item in the briefcase is actually Marsellus' soul which he had previously sold to the devil.

Hit men, a boxer who did not throw a fight, Christopher Walken and a watch up his a s s. Plus a lot of funny dialogue. A lot of known actors and whatever is in the briefcase. The famous part by Samuel L Jackson, a verse from the bible he says at every killing..."And I will strike down upon thee with great vengence and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers..."

there are mixed plots in the movie. 1 is about 2 guys who are hitmen & go around killing folks. Another plot is about an underground boxer who was meant to take a dive but didnt for his own benefit. He was incidentally hired by the same mafia boss who hired the 2 hitmen.
Actually the mvie is sick and twisted. It really has no plot & should be renamed as PLOT FICTION! hehehe!

Yes, I saw it again last night & asked the same question. As much as I like John Travolta, I was sorely ashamed of his decision to act in that movie. Truly beneath his fine character.

Basically about nothing. It is very overrated. In fact, when you watch it into tv some years later, you can not believe how famous it was ten years ago or so. Cool music, though.
