Fact from fiction, truth from diction. I think there is just as many gays today as there always was. Just now, in school they have gay clubs and support groups that did not exist way back then, So many of the gays were underground, so to speak.

As far as being stoned, or high. I think the two main things are the media. they always show it as being cool to drink or take drugs. Fancy, when I was a child taking drugs was to be a drug addict, a dope fiend. Which no one wanted to be. But today it is not seen as a lifestyle choice someone makes but a disease they some how contract after they decided to "experiment". Society as a whole has lacked imagination on how to have a great time at a party, BBQ, wedding etc, sober. As if that takes too much thinking or brain power, so you have to add chemicals to make the fun easier. Then you have parents who do not want to parent because they will not appear cool to their kids. the are more scared of not being their kid's friend then they are to leading them to adulthood as responsible people. And I would agree, every one wants to say "I was not my fault" because they only intended to do it that once, or not all the time and it just grabbed hold of them.

First of all, their is nothing wrong with being gay. Thats like someone saying why are so many young people straight. Its just stupid. America is about freedom and choice.. and if an individual chooses to be attracted to another member of their sex than so be it. You have no rights to judge.

It seems that their are more drug addicts in the 30+ bracket. Of course, their generation carried it on and passed it on to others over the years. The younger ones were taught by the older ones that it was acceptable.. and therefore.. they did it too.. Then one young friend tells another and on and on it goes. The addiction breeds. It is hard to stop a train in motion just as it is to stop all of the addicts from doing drugs. We have to inform todays youth with action. If everyone were to mentor one young adult and give them a support system then less would turn to drugs.

The reason that many youth are drug addicted or gay ( sexually addicted) is that the human being has a " sin nature" , an unhealthy attraction to things that are not good for them. Without moral and ethical guaidance ( aka in today's permissive society) The young people fall into all manner of moral and ethical traps. We live in an a " free" society" unfortunately that freedom of choice has never been so sadly misused as it is today.

Not enough discipline. Kids today rule the parents and parents are afraid to spank those tails. Too worried about someone calling children and family services or reporting them for child abuse. That is just so wrong. It worked quite well back in the day and it will sure work still today. Guidance!!

Good question. Most of my friends and even my parents got divorced when we were all kids. None of the kids I grew up with (including myself) really are into family stuff. Maybe it has to do with something like that. All the kids in my high school with strict parents with "strong families" made it into awesome university's. Haven't kids always been screwed up though? From what I heard the 70's and 80's were pretty intense. I don't know.....maybe we are all just bored.

Self-centeredness. Selfishness. A sense of entitlement, is going around, too. Everyone seems to have a sense of "victimhood".

Popular culture seems to be giving everyone license to join up with some "victim" group or another. There's self-righteousness in being oppressed, don't you know? What with being gay and trying drugs; they're just lifestyle choices, aren't they?

properly, in the present day's adolescents suffers extra deeper complications than those of the previous generations. drugs(habit), sex(more suitable % of minor being pregnant), funds(funds on gamble/drugs), relations(insurrection common in the previous yet not in any respect been so interior and remarkable earlier, college(peer rigidity, bullying, and so on), and own(common with college like loneliness/undesirable, badly dealt with through inebriated moms and dads) and that stuff circuitously receives them to seem at existence yet differently. many do not care about human beings no extra. some do not even shall we seniors/veterans sit down in the front seats of the bus. Youths those day have replaced their view on existence which causes them to make huge differences.

Because we watch too mutch TV and think all that is normal.
Parents don't mentor or teach their kids anything, they expect them to learn everything in school, and they do but not from teachers.
People think that being a parents is just providing shelter and food but its not.
