There is a good program called letterchase. which is free. Once you can type without ever looking at the keyboard you should start using speed programs like letterchase. It's really important to always check your form. If you start to get sloppy with form you will never get good speed. Also, you should concentrate on accuracy more than speed. Once you achieve a really good level of accuracy you have mastered the keyboard, and your speed will really take off. You might be stuck at 20 or 30 wpm for a while, but once you get form and accuracy down, your speed will start to really take off. The key to good form is to practice really slow when you warm up each day. Then let your speed gradually increase. If you don't do the slow practice your form will stay sloppy, and the really good speed will never come. Trust me on this. Good luck.

Is there a typing class offered at your school? Also just practice everyday and keep your fingers on the home keys and don't look. Also this site isn't really "children" friendly because of some of the language and questions asked plus you don't know who will look at that picture of you. Predators are on this site too and you need to be careful of that fact.

try to concentrate on the letters on your keyboard.. usually the finger placing on the keys is asdf for the left hand and ;lkj for the right.. see the keyboard and type and start concentrating on the keys as to where each key is placed on the keyboard.. once you do that.. start seeing the monitor instead of the keyboard and try to identify the keys without seeing the keyboard.. after a little practise.. you'll be able to type fast and plus without seeing the keyboard for the letters... thats how i learnt it and im good at my typing now..
