Time is lost everyday, and I firmly believe that my days are numbered. How do I overcome feeling as though my life is wasting away before me? Have you ever felt this way? How did you overcome it? Does the answer lie in accepting the past?

The past is exactly where it belongs and where you should leave it...behind you. The best thing for you to do is to live each day like it is your last, that's easier said than done but its not that impossible. First make sure you find things to laugh about, if not then watch a good comedy show on the television, think of the humour of the various situations of life and secondly, try not to do anything that you might regret on the same day or later so you can sleep with a clear conscience. Find someone to spend some meaningful time with. Make a list of all the things that you want to do in life and then slowly and surely do them. All I can say is that all our days are numbered, everyone is dying but what makes a person special is how they lived for the days that they did have. And remember family, friends and love...that's all that life is about really.

yup, i feel the same way. I feel that i am here to do something, but am not able to focus on what i have to do. Feels that my life is wasting away. The only way to overcome it is to get engrossed in some task or other. It helps you till you are busy and then u get back to the same position.

I dont think the answer lies in the past. It should lie more in the future....

It's passing by me at the speed of light. I have had major heart bi- pass surgery and my family moved to Japan. As stated I do feel this way everyday. I overcome it by being positive about the things I do have. Accepting the past is a major part of dealing with the ever-passing of time/life.

Yes all the time. I guess we need to do things everyday that keeps us busy and do fun things along with work and whatever. Enjoy life to the fullest would work. We all know our days are numbered but, we need to fill them with the things we enjoy most including spending time with the people we love . Good question and I'm sure that alot of people feel this way life does seem to go so fast all the time.

I do feel this way sometimes. Seems like my son was just born yesterday but he turns 2 this Saturday. I think the key to life is doing what your heart desires. For instance if you want to travel than do it. Don't wait around too long. Downsize your house, cut your expenses, do whatever it takes in order to travel more.
