That means they would rather tell you something directly, particularly in an interpersonal relationship (boyfriend or girlfriend). They want to be straighforward with you, honest.

Playing head games means you are trying to confuse somebody for your benefit or enjoyment.

Sometimes your boss might play head games with you, telling you how great you are one day, then threatening to fire you the next, then telling you again how great you are.

The term, also called "mind games", is more frequently used to describe a girlfriend or boyfriend.... "He's always playing head games with me." Calling and hanging up, telling you I love you, but not speaking to you for a week, lying in general, but being really good at covering up the lies.....
...generally trying to drive someone nuts!

Sometimes people who say "I don't play head games" are actually playing head games with you!!!!!!

Kinda like a liar saying they're not a liar!

head games are also called "head Fvck games" it means that the person does not "play" with another persons head, or play silly psychological games with another.

They mean that they are telling the truth and NOT lying or evading the truth. Head games are lies or ways of hiding the truth.

Lie and say and do anything to irritate or intimidate.

"I don't play head games" are said by people that are liars.

They do not manipulate people. They do not play mental games such as trying to make someone jealous or someone feel sorry for them.

And while they may mean that they don't manipulate people - in my personal experience, anyone who has to state it probably does.

Just like you should worry when anyone says "Trust me" - you probably shouldn't

they don't manipulate your emotions for there own enjoyment. like in a relationship or a work environment. they don't mess with your thoughts inside your head.
