I don't think so. I think there are a few people that get into politics with a real honest intention to work for the people and try to change things...do the right thing. It's not long that they find out that sometimes it's not the politicians with all the power...but their campaign contributors and such that they soon become just another "typical" politician.

Not in my opinion. Most politicions lack some basic human qualities, such as: Sincerity, integrity, compassion. They are driven by a thirst for power, wealth and influence and self preservation. Ethics and moral standing are completely alien to them. Pick any politicion you like and research his or her career, you will be mortified by what you will discover. They are in politics for selfish reasons, not as a crusade for the benefit of normal everyday people. Politicions should create a better life for everyone, not just themselves.

Yup

Ronald Reagan. I think Bushs heart is in the right place too. I just dont agree with all of his "means to an end".

I think "most" politicians only pander votes and say what they think we want to hear. Border security for example...

Most Americans are adamant about securing our borders and slowing the invasion of illegals. Neither party has done squat!! They speak of great things and then quickly forget after election day. I would say 99% of politicians do not serve the public but do a great job of serving themselves.

such "a" thing. I'm sure they exist, but I wouldn't trust any individual politician with your civil rights.................

Ho ho - Bush is ethical? I thought we'd settled that a long time ago. He is a liar and a phony. And I can prove it. Google Bush lies. Don't expect me to do your civic duty for you.

There have been two, George Washington (who could never tell a lie) and Abraham Lincoln (Honest Abe). We celebrate their birthdays today with a national holiday.

a perfect example of ethics in politics would be Mikhail Gorbachev's Glasnost program.
