It's really annoying me :( I run windows xp on my computer and I have a dsl connection. It has always ran fast, but for some reason, now it wont let me watch videos, and it's soooo slow loading pictures, or it just says the websites are unavaliable and it asks me to refresh the page, but that doesn't work. I have AVG on my computer to detect virsus.... but it hasn't shown anything. I also have this program to detect and delete spyware and adware... it didn't work, and finally i defragmented my computer and erased temporary internet files... what else can I do, short from takeing it to the shop, or erasing my damn hard drive? Please help :)

It sounds like you got some spy-ware.
Don't erase your hard drive. That sounds like informational suicide. Don't do it.
Download one of the spy-ware programs mentioned already in the previous posts and clean it up a bit.

remove avg
get mcafee security center
increase ur dsl speed or h av a company check up-its free
but i advise u to disable ur antivirus and firewall to hav a better internet speed-really worked for me-but hav the virus shield on-that wont affect the speed
if still not resolving-then didable the shield also

You didn't mention what spyware program you are using. Get BOTH Adaware and Spybot, install and update them and then run scans. If some stuff won't go away then restart the computer in safe mode (pres F8 on startup) and run them in safe mode.

It is spyware.
You need to get anti spyware program and run it to delete the spyware that tracks and records what websites you go to.
You can download spybot for free at
http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html
Also Ad-Aware
Microsoft antispyware
or Registry Mechanic
They have easy instructions and will get rid of the obvious spyware. You can purchase one of the others afterward if you still need to.

its a spyware, some spywares are cannot be detected by computer anti-virus. i will recommend to re-format your computer and reinstall your OS after you back-up your impt files.

way too many infections,,,,google--- ( registry mechanic ) download and run !!!! did mine ,,its like new again... good luck.
