Hello, My nipples are very sore.my last period was august 31,2006. and right now it is some what late. should i take a test or wait

Well you should wait until your at least 14 days late for a test to be accurate, some tests don't pick up the hormone soon enough if your only a few days late.
If your not on a regular cycle give it a bit, If you have been stressed the soreness in your nipples could be because your period is trying to get started and the stress could be from the delay.
I had the same problem, I was late for 2 months and my nipples and lower back hurt for weeks, I was going to take a test just to make sure and then I got my period. I called my doctor and he says it is normal for women who are under stress, colds, or recovering from infections to delay their periods and will suffer from tender nipples, lower back pain, stomach and groin pain, headaches right before you get your period after a long amount of time.
Wait and then go see your doctor.

Better safe than sorry! Take a test now, if negative and still no period in a wekk, take another. If still negative, see the doc. If positive congrats and good luck to you!

to be on the safe side take a test.
when i was pregnant with my son and current pregnancy i had tender nipples and still do.
have you noticed milk ducts (little white spots) on your nipples? that usually happens aswell

i would take a test - just in case- is the rest of your breast tender?? Maybe you are stressed and late- stress can do that - some get sore w pms- take care-D

That was my first symptom of pregnancy. My breasts were very sensitive, Taking a shower hurt. If you are pregnant, that gets better.

i would say take a test, b/c it's very possible that you could be pregnant.

honestly you skipped only one cycle, that can happen.. wait untill oct. of the firs week of nov.... good luck
