I recently stopped taking the shot how long is it reccomended that I wait to get pregnant!!!!!

I hate the depo shot. The first time I had 2 shots it took a year for my period to return and it took a year for me to get pregnant. The second time I had one shot in March 2005 and my period returned the end of June that year, but the shot had messed with my hormones and they lasted for 20 days. I had to go on the pill for 3 months to get back to normal and got pregnant 2 weeks after stopping them.

I started right away....It took me a year to become pregnant once i stopped taking the shot. (I had been on it for 3 years)
Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.
It is a free and very helpful website..
Good luck and take it from me if you want a baby don't wait in trying cause it could take you as long as a year or longer...

JUST LIKE PREGNANCY--IT IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. I ONLY HAD ONE SHOT-JUNE 28. JUST CAME OFF IT AND THINK THAT I AM 4 WKS PREGNANT. CAN TAKE UP TO 2 YRS TO GET PREGNANT AFTER DEPO.
