To help keep any colored clothing from fading, wash the 1st time with a cup of vinegar. (It sets the dye in your clothing.) If it is already faded, the only way to revive black is to re-dye it. Be careful though, if you do re-dye to only wash it in cold water and with other black clothes only! Otherwise, you'll end up with a lot of grayish-looking clothes. Ugh.

You can try to soak black shirt in salt water before you wear it for the first time to avoid color to fade.

If it is already faded, for plain black shirts you can use Art shop's black color powder for clothes to soak in water. It will turns out like a new one.

Good luck!

Once it's faded you can't fix it, but you can prevent color fade by washing saturated colors in cold water and hanging the clothing items to dry rather than putting them in the dryer. There are also detergents and softener products that claim to help clothes retain their color.

Before washing, soak in a little bit of vinager to set the dye. Also, when the black is fading, dye it (along with all the other faded black articles of clothing) with black RIT or any other clothing dye.

you wash only darks with cool water, they have the new tide out that is suppose to keep colors in place. If you want to get a color back from a SOLID color **** they sell different colors of clothes dye at grocery stores. You have to wash out the washing machine after you dye your clothes, you just put soap and bleach and wash nothin

well first of all make sure that the powder isn't a brightening powder, and if possible, buy the liquid powders, which dont brighten. i am pretty sure you can't get the dark colours back, but try soaking in the liquid cleansers and it may fade back to its original colour.
