colors are actually created because they all exist inside light, and the pigments in something will only reflect certain colors from that light. black is the essence of all colors, and it sucks up all the light, while white is the essence of almost no color, so it reflects most of it away. so, since a white car isnt sucking up the light (light is warm) it wont be as hot as the black car.

i cant imagine the difference would be a whole lot. when you're inside, i bet they're still awfully warm.

The inside of the black car would be hotter because the black color absorbs more heat than the white.

White reflects light waves whereas black absorbs it. Thus the black car will be hotter than the white car

In the electromagnetic spectrum, white is a combination of all seven colors, and therefore to see white, all the light would have to be reflected off it (most light in this case), This means that the "red" component of light would also be reflected off, black however on the other hand would absorb all the light, and therefore be hotter because it absorbs more energy than the white.. i think

black, right? Black absorbs light whereas white reflects light, so the white car will better deflect the sun's rays, thereby keeping it cooler. By the same (but opposite) reasoning, the black car will be hotter.

What are you doing with the cars anyway? Did you steal them. Why are they there. wHAT AM i DOING HERE?! I'm going.....................................hey... why am i still here? oh well. I'll answer the question. Black absorbs the suns heat whilst white is so bright it reflects the light blardy blardy blar. Also you didn't tell us what the car was made out of. The white car could've had a clear sheet 2cm away from it to virtulise global warming. Also, if you wanted to test it, could you do a favour for me? Clould you put lots of cars side by side like the anti-racism symbol? I HATE RASISTS!

The black car will become hotter. Lighter colors have a greater
albedo...that is, they reflect more light. Darker colors absorb
comparatively more light. Since light is energy, an absorption would increase a materials temperature.

Umm............. they would both be about the same temperature.I own a white car and a black car and I know that in the sun they are equal in temperture regardless of the theory that white reflects heat and black absorbs heat.
