Knowing what you want, knowing who you are, truly loving yourself, determination, discipline, diligence, hard work, having a great personality is always a big plus, going the distance, who you know is very very important, it's really who you know that can get you very far, along with the previous mentioned. Knowledge, (an education) good manners, social grace, you have to be a go getter, never giving up and knowing how to endure, difficult times and situations, controlling your emotions, part of having emotional intelligence no matter what!!
Doing whatever it takes, knowing that if you fail, you can always try again, failure is not failure until you stop trying. Success comes with failure, (That's a saying) meaning you will have some bad times sometimes before you reach success.

It depends on what you consider to be sucess. Some might feel they are successful by becoming manager at the local mini mart and others feel they are loosers unless they become president but for any type of success the key is ambition and knowing what you want out of life. Hard work and not being afraid to move forward. Determination.
