Computing Concepts with C++ Essentials, 3rd Edition by Kay Horstmann. Wiley Publishers, copyright 2003. ISBN 0-471-16437-2

I learned OOP and C++ from this book, and it's wonderful. The teaching slides are available to the public online without a password, also, so there are great examples.
