Hm-mm, interesting that you are 18 and suffering from migraines. I have suffered from them for numerous years, more than you probably want to know about. Sometimes in some people doctors can assist you in getting rid of them and in other people they cannot. I'm in the latter percentage. There may not be just one thing to cure YOURs. Work closely with your doctors, the worse thing that you could find out is that it is caused by stress because it is all around us in all of our lives in most everything. Stress doesn't have to be about 'tragic' but more so about how "WE" ourselves deal with it. You may think you don't have a problem dealing with stress but be careful. Don't forget to always keep some form of exercise in your lifestyle, but not necessarily to the point of competition, just enough to enjoy.

Many people get married too soon nowadays. They do not take time to let the love grow before becoming a couple. Another reason is, some peoples expectation of marriage is too high. Marriage doesn't fix problems, it should enhance the relationship. A lot of people do not put the time and effort to make the marriage work, to be more creative and prevent it from being boring or dull. Then you have those who think they do not have to do anything and are just settled into a comfortable mode of marriage.

A migraine is a throbbing or pulsating headache that is often one sided (unilateral) and associated with nausea; vomiting; sensitivity to light, sound, and smells; sleep disruption; and depression. Attacks are often recurrent and tend to become less severe as the migraine sufferer ages.
There are 2 types of migraine treatments. Some treatments are used to relieve the headache pain. Most of these treatments should be started as soon as you think you're getting a migraine. The other type includes treatments that are used to prevent headaches before they occur.

Whether or not you take preventive medications, you may benefit from lifestyle changes that can help reduce the number and severity of migraines. One or more of these suggestions may be helpful for you:
1) Avoid triggers-If certain foods seem to have triggered your headaches in the past, eat something else. If certain scents are a problem, try to avoid them. In general, try to establish a daily routine with regular sleep patterns and regular meals.
2) Exercise regularly.-Regular aerobic exercise reduces tension and can help prevent migraines. If your doctor agrees, choose any aerobic exercise you enjoy, including walking, swimming and cycling. Warm up slowly, however, because sudden, intense exercise can cause headaches.
3) Reduce the effects of estrogen-If you're a woman with migraines and estrogen seems to trigger or make your headaches worse, or if you have a family history of stroke or high blood pressure, you may want to avoid or reduce the amount of medications you take that contain estrogen. These medications include birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy. Talk with your doctor about the best alternatives or dosages for you.
4) Quit smoking-If you smoke, talk to your doctor about quitting. Smoking can trigger headaches or make headaches worse.
5) For other Medications-consult a doctor!!

Put 4-4 drops of Cow-Ghee in both the nostrils twice daily. This helps to improve the circulation of oxygenated blood through the sinuses and reduces the irritability of brain, cools the head and keeps you a away from migraine. For Myopia: Eyes are most important amongst the sense organs and needs proper nutrition and maintenance for keeping away from diseases and stress. Use of computers, television, bright lights, driving, reading etc. puts more and more stress on the eyes. Ayurveda has exclusive treatment modalities to overcome the eye-problems. It is therefore important to undergo scientific treatments and proper care in terms of diet, exercise and medicines. These treatments may also help to prevent the visual defects during early age.

First, I suggest getting your eyeglass prescription checked--too strong or too weak can cause headaches.
Second, try to learn what triggers your migraines and plan accordingly. Caffeine withdrawl, dehydration, lack of sleep, hunger, menstruation, and strong scents can be causes. When studying, take frequent breaks to rest your eyes.
Third, you should get checked by your medical doctor to rule out any other health problems.
When I get a migraine, I use a baggie wrapped in a paper towel to apply ice to the affected area. Better yet, one of those plastic things with the gel in them that you put into the freezer to keep your lunch cold--they don't melt all over.

If you are using glasses, wear them regularly. During studies take a short break and have fresh air. When you feel dull and heavy, don't continue studies. With the fingers of both hands, gently press starting from forehead, move towards the sides. It helps many times. It may help you.
