1. I refused to clean a hotel room that still had crack smoke in it
2. I was taught the wrong way to make sundaes and the new manager said it was easier to hire someone new than re-teach me
3. New management didnt like that I had a 2nd job and had to leave earlier than the other housekeepers
4. Manager got upset that I called in about having bad menstrual cramps and claimed I hadnt shown up for work at all the previous Friday, when I had. Also the timeclock was mysteriously not working that day.
5. Coworker (who broke lots of merchandise and talked on the phone all the time), claimed that I put dirt in her food
I think there are a couple more but they are never my fault. But when you say that they think you have a problem with authority

I was fired once, and only once.
Get this - I called in to work crying because my abusive ex-husband (we were married at the time) and I had a huge fight and I had to move my stuff out before he got back because I was scared to be there alone with him. My boss actually told me that she wanted someone who would show up every day. So not to bother coming in anymore. (I had been sick once before this for the whole 6 months I was there)

There can be so many reasons. Not taking interest in the job, working against the interests of the company you work for, going against the orders of the seniors etc.etc.

I've never been fired, but I have been laid off. There was a job freeze and I was supposed to go permanant. I was a temp, and they had to let about 300 of us temps go. Bummer!

I can say luckily I haven't ever been fired from a job,But I am sure lots of people get fired for stupid reasons.

I've never been fired. I'm still working at my first job and I've been there for three and a half years.

I got accused of stealing.After I left they caught the real culprit and asked me to come back.Yea right.
