You can pump right afterwards if you want. For some moms, this helps them let down easier for the pump. You could also try nursing one baby at a time with the pump on the opposite breast. Morning is usually a better time of day to pump than evening.

Contact La Leche League... but you could start adding a "feeding" once a day. Like do a pumping in the morning about an hour after you feed them. Do this everyday and soon your body will accomodate the increased need to produce more breastmilk. You should ideally do this for a few days before relying on a true milk supply. You don't want to cheat the babies of any feedings.

I had twins and I couldn't breastfeed, but I would pump enough for them to have in bottles, and if I still felt there was some I pumped more. If you do this, you can better regulate your schedule if you are planning on going back to work too. It will increase your production when you feed them, but if you substitute breast milk in a bottle for a few feedings a day, you can also regulate the letdown and such, but even that takes time, so if you are out, you will probably spring a leak when it is feeding time. So be prepared

Having been there, done that, I have to commend you. That is quite an undertaking. I had some very hungry girls, and one would get to suckle for one breast and part of the other, while her sister was being bottle fed (formula). The remainder of the second breast went into the breast pumping bottle. The next feeding, they were switched, so that they both got the experience with the bottle, as well as the immunities provided by breastmilk. It also was easier to leave them with someone to have a bottle for them, even if it wasn't always breastmilk.

When you feel your breasts filling up with milk. drink lots of water and eat well so you are producing good milk. I'd try halfway through, and take what I could get at first and build up. Good luck
