I am from the North, lived in the South for ten years, resisted the culture but grew to love it just as I moved back up North again. (I missed the seasons), but yes, Southern Men by a million times treat women better! they even treat us more as EQUALS than Northern men!

I think it does not matter what part of the country you are in.... men are men.

The north has some good men, who know how to treat a woman...the north also has it's share of woman beaters & abusers.

Same goes for the south & west....

It's just a numbers game in meeting a good, decent man who not only knows how to treat a woman, but who has all his own teeth as well!

This is not always true. It depends on the man. Hubby treats me like a queen and we live in Tennessee, but because of his job, (he's a cop), we see that not all men are "Southern Gentlemen." And like to use their women as punching bags. He gets a lot of domestic fight calls on Sat. nights when UT doesn't win the game. I wish I was kidding but sadly I'm not.

As a woman from the south must say my husband works and pays all the bills. He also cooks for me each night. But is this because he's from the south??????? naw my cooking just sucs.
