does the front drive shaft on a f150 4 x 4 (1999) always rotate?

i own a repair shop,,and if it don't have lock out hubs it will turn all the time on it,,it has CV joint in it,and they last pretty good in them,but most of the newer ones now do turn all the time,good luck i hope this help,s.

no only when the transfer case is locked into four wheel drive.

no it shouldnt unless you have it locked into 4 wheel drive.
