why do parents try to raise their kids to be perfect angels?

instead of understanding that you're not supposed to raise them how you want them to be raised, but what makes the most sense.

Kids need manners. EXAMPLE: When someone is talking, the kids don't need to run up and interrupt their conversation just because they want too.

Kids don't need to do drugs. Do you want a kid that does drugs all the time? Do you want them to get caught and go to jail.

But I do believe, you need to let your kids be kids. Tell them what is wrong and right. Most likely the will choose the wrong, but they will learn in the process. You can't raise perfect children.

I'm only 17, soon to be 18. My parents raised me with manners and taught me wrong from right. But they let me choose who I wanted to be. Which I'm glad, because I wouldn't of learned half the crap I have learned. I can honestly say I have never tried a drug in my life. My parents aren't the parents that will sit you down and tell you shouldn't do drugs and drink and etc.

So you do need to teach them manners and etc. There is no such thing as perfect.

And the alternative is to have them try to raise little devils? You are obviously a child, getting to the rebellious age, and don't like some of the edicts your parents are putting on you. They are doing it for your best interests. They have already been where you are at now, and they are doing their best to help you avoid their stupid mistakes. That's what parents do. At the age of 14, my son was convinced that I was the dumbest, strictest, and biggest asshole in the whole world. When he graduated college at 22, he couldn't believe how smart I had beome over those 8 years.

hell-raising,vandalising,swearing little hellions?? Isn't that what some kids are anyhow!?!? I see so many kids who act like satan himself,and I get alot of compliments on how well-behaved mine are... But I can't understand why parents don't control their kids.... My daughter was cussed by a 10 yr old, in front of the kids mom,and the mom acturally let the kid do so ( she is a crack wh*re anyway)and it bothers me. This is our future,and it scares me to death to know these kids will destroy life as we know it,and no one cares. It scares me to know my kids are raised to be mannerly,gentle, way,and they will not likely fit in when they grow up. I curse, sure, but I raise my kids to say what is on their minds,and they can cuss when they turn 18. No drugs? that is commen sense. I enforce good manners,and now it is habit for them to say ty and plz.

Sorry, but your question makes little sense.

Would you not want to raise your kids the way you want to? You would want to raise them in a way that makes the most sense.

Do you think I want to raise my daughter to be a drug addict? A bank robber? A prostitue? THAT wouldn't be difficult!

No decent parent expects their kids to become 'perfect angels', but we try to teach them to be the best they can be. We know they won't be totally perfect, but we know our child's grasp should exceed their reach.

That IS what makes the most sense, that IS how I want her to be raised.

there is not any recipie for success while it contains elevating little ones. there is not any guidance manual that persons get while they have a baby regardless in the event that they seem to be a same intercourse couple or a guy/lady couple. you basically try your superb, and that's all you're able to do. It has no longer something to do w/ the intercourse of the persons elevating the baby. i think a similar could be suggested then for single mom or single father little ones. people basically desire to decide people who's it regrettably!

I was raised that way, and I fit fine in society.
In fact, I am more loved for some of my qualitites by people who do not share them, because they respect them.
So stop cussing, doing drugs, and being rude, and get some manners.

yeah i know.... why not just try to raise ur kid with good morals and hope that they use their knowledge to benefit others and possibly let them make mistakes along the way so that they can learn from them and become better from them?
