I was just watching Xmen 3 on dvd.

I know the movie is about a cure that will allow mutants to become normal people.

But something confuses me.

Why did Magnito attack it? Why did he care if mutants used it? I tried my best to figure this out.

Also the other two movies.

First one is easy, Magnito wanted a equal world: hince everyone is a mutant.

but what did the general want in Xmen 2? to destroy all mutants? His motives never really became clear since he had a mutant as a bodyguard.

please let me know.

We'll I've watched only the second and first, and in the first it was about a power struggle between him and Xavier.(Remember that Xavier is the only one who can use Surrebro to identify all humans and all mutants on earth.)
In the second he is actually apposed to the antidote. That's why he rebels against it with his own gang of mutants.Besides that i guess he also wanted to be in control of this antidote to have more power against all other mutants.
Magneto's character is selfish and never does anything without an ulterior motive.

In X-Men he had a machine to turn everyone into mutants. He wanted to use Rogue's powers to mimmick his magnetic attributes to run the machine.

In X-Men United he wanted to use Professor Xavier's machine with similar powers (usually used to observe and possibly contant muntants) to track and kill non-mutants. Same pricinpal but you'd track human life and instead of only looking for mutants, look for everyone BUT mutants.

In X-Men 3, Magneto was almost less of a bad guy in the mere fact that he simply was overproud of his Mutant brothers, and found it an outrage that other Mutants would give up their powers. Throughout the series, but especially in this movie, he can be seen making alliances strictly off the fact that others are mutants and are proud to seperate themselves because of it. He simply wanted to stop the lab from creating any more "cures." Its ironic how he becomes a victim of the cures in the end though.

Magneto wants the earth to be populated with only mutants. The general wanted all mutants to be destroyed because his only son was a mutant. And his son killed his wife, his only love. The general was just using the mutants for his advantage, then who cares if they were killed by Professor X and his son. Magneto did not want all the mutants to get a cure, if they did there goes his world of only mutants on earth. The X-men want there to be peace among all. Go wolverine your hot!

Magneto attacked the cure since he foresaw that, sooner or later, all mutants, willingly or not, would be forced to take it. His correctness in this was shown by what happened to Mystique. He sees mutants as the next stage of human evolution and the rightful inheritors of the Earth, thus would not want anything to "devolve" them back to normal human status.

In X-Men 1, Magneto wanted to transform the world's leaders into mutants, so they would make more mutant-friendly laws and choices, since they themselves would be affected by them.

In X-Men 2, General Stryker was infuriated by Xavier's inability to undo the genetic mutation of his son. So Stryker set out to use mutants to destroy all the mutants that he could.

it is the fault of Fox Studios themselves as they're from a matching universe. This 12 months we are in a position to be getting a action photograph with the two variations on a similar time indoors the coming near action photograph Days of destiny previous. truthfully the creators are idiots for making this errors and if marvel owned the 1st class then they could have the rights to those characters which they do no longer. as an occasion marvel's Quicksilver indoors the main cutting-edge Avengers isn't even allowed to be suggested as a Mutant alongside with Scarlet Witch as a results of actuality they gets sued. it is by using using them advertising the rights a jointly as in the previous.

I only saw the first movie, and I thought it was one of the most idiotic pieces of clap-trap ever made... so I never bothered to see the others.
