it depends on whether it is a boy or girl. Fathers tend to want the son to carry on there name but what they dont understand is it is embarrising for a child to have a last name other than the parent who signs them up for school etc. The father should think of the childs feelings first. It is hard on a child when they get to be in school, maybe you should talk to him about it cause sometimes they just dont think of things like that.

The way i see it, yes he is the father but a real man would do the right thing before his child comes into this world. so if it were me and it was before. you are carrying this baby and chances are you will be raising him/her loving, teaching this child for two parents. the baby should have your last name. a name he can be proud of and depend on.

You're carrying it, you're pushing it out, they will bring the paper work to you at the hospital. You're not married to the father & have no guarantee that he will be around in 5 years. Whose name do you think it should have?
